Mottled green with row of 2-4 dark-edged, large white spots on membrane between each pair of caudal fin rays often resembles algal covered rock.

Inhabits coastal reefs in 1-10 m, resembles algal-covered rock. Oviparous.

Northern Borneo. Also found iin Raja Ampat Islands, West Papua.
